Keith Keck has been appointed by the Quorum Court to a three year term as its representative on the
Saline County Board of Equalization. The Equalization Board hears citizens' appeals to property tax
valuations, and is the only source, after August 1, that has the legal authority to make changes in any of
the assessment books. Keith succeeds Bob Brandt who served 15 years on the EQ board.

  • At the May 4th meeting of the Saline County Quorum Court, Angela Nickols of the HSV Animal Welfare League made a presentation to establish a Spay & Neuter Clinic in The Paron Community.  With the help of James Zahnd the Quorum Court unanimously voted to give an $8,000.00 grant to accomplish this community outreach.  The purpose of this project is not only to reduce the number of unwanted dog & cats in the Paron Community but also to provide Veterinary Services to those who cannot afford them throughout the year.
